01Executive Summary

A field unit for applied financial inclusion

The CFSBR Action Lab is the grassroots execution and social business incubation wing of the Centre for Fintech & Strategic Business Research (CFSBR). It connects selected research streams with community-level pilots, financial literacy work, and social business models. The lab is designed as an open framework so future youth networks and global affiliations can be added without changing the core institutional structure.

02Mission & Vision

Research translated into field practice

A disciplined bridge between economic research and community-level implementation.

Our Mission

To test practical financial inclusion tools with underserved communities and document what works in the field.

Our Vision

To become a credible youth-led execution platform for social business, applied research, and inclusive finance.

03Strategic Pillars

Driving Economic Inclusion

Three program priorities guide the lab’s pilots and partnerships.

Pillar 01

Economic Equity & Wealth Distribution

Researching alternative credit-risk approaches that may help informal MSMEs become more visible to formal finance without relying only on collateral.

Pillar 02

Entrepreneurial Scaling & Job Creation

Supporting young micro-founders through literacy toolkits, cash-flow discipline, and early-stage social business incubation.

Pillar 03

Climate-Smart & Green Fintech

Exploring how green finance, micro-enterprise data, and community-level adoption can support practical climate-smart business models.

04Operational Focus

Core Focus Areas

Three workstreams connect CFSBR research with community-level implementation.

Focus A

Algorithmic Inclusion Sandbox

Testing alternative credit-scoring assumptions with field data from informal and low-income merchants.

Focus B

Grassroots Financial Literacy Toolkits

Creating localized learning materials that make mobile financial services and digital banking safer to use.

Focus C

Sustainable MSME Incubation Rails

Working with micro-enterprises to document operations, improve cash-flow visibility, and test responsible digital value-chain links.

05Ecosystem

Global Ecosystem & Multi-Membership Alliance

The CFSBR Action Lab is structured as an open, multi-affiliation ecosystem. It can host national and international youth networks, global chapters, and development coalitions under one administrative rail. This keeps future affiliations easy to add while preserving the centre’s core framework.
